Satellite Emergency Department – Open 24/7/365

Offering little to no wait times day or night, the satellite emergency department of Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean University Medical Center delivers exceptional treatment provided by emergency medicine physicians, nurses and technicians specially trained and experienced in emergency treatment. With the exception of trauma, it has the same capabilities as conventional Emergency Departments—with all the necessary personnel and emergency equipment.

Ocean Care Center offers:

  • Emergency care: Non-life-threatening medical care is for severe, critical illnesses that need immediate care but is not life-threatening. Stand-alone Emergency Departments also have full access to hospital Emergency Departments if needed.
  • Laboratory services
  • Imaging and diagnostic services

Ocean Care Center is a satellite Emergency Department, NOT an urgent care center, so you will be billed for an Emergency Department visit.

Laboratory Services – No Appointment Needed*

Hackensack Meridian Health’s Laboratory Services provides a one-stop experience when it comes to having lab work completed. We are dedicated to putting you at ease throughout the process with timely, courteous, and efficient service.

*Appointments are not necessary for most tests. However, you may need to fast, so call the lab to verify any special requirements for your test(s).

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Thursday: 6:30 am - 8:00 pm

Diagnostic & Imaging Services – Early Morning & Evening

Walk-ins are welcome for x-rays and EKG tests. CT scans are available by appointment only. Our imaging procedures use advanced imaging technology subject to stringent regulatory standards. Our team of imaging professionals, including highly trained and experienced physicians and technologists, will perform and interpret all imaging procedures with the utmost precision, so you receive the most accurate diagnostic information possible.
