Providers at this LocationLocation Summary
The Brain and Spine Tumor Treatment and Rehabilitation Center at Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute and Johnson Rehabilitation Institute at JFK University Medical Center is one of only a few hospitals in New Jersey to provide brain and spinal tumor diagnosis, management, recovery, and physical rehabilitation services on one campus.
We offer advanced medication and surgical treatment of glioma including glioblastoma, pituitary adenoma, primary central nervous system lymphoma, metastatic brain tumors, spinal tumors (benign and malignant), meningioma and acoustic neuromas, using:
- Minimally Invasive Spine, Cranial and Skull Base Surgery with smaller incisions, resulting in the ability to address complex tumors with less harm while also reducing operative and recovery time.
- Advanced Skull Base Surgical Treatment including extendedendonasal procedures for complex tumors and vascular lesions of the brain and skull base.
- Cerebrovascular Surgery including embolization.
Why Choose Us?
The Brain Tumor Treatment and Rehabilitation Center at JFK University Medical Center was one of the first hospitals in the country to trial the Optune, a wearable, portable device used for treating glioblastoma. Our program director, Dr. Joseph Landolfi, was also the first certified user of Optune in New Jersey.
JFK University Medical Center is also among only a few hospitals in the Northeast to provide brain and spinal tumor diagnosis, management, neurosurgery, recovery, and physical rehabilitation services under one roof.
Healthgrades continues to recognize JFK University Medical Center with its awards for Neuroscience Excellence, Cranial Neurosurgery Excellence and America's 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care year-after-year.
