Where We Train
JFK University Medical Center is a 498-bed, non-profit, acute care academic medical center located in Edison, New Jersey. It serves as a flagship hospital for the central region of Hackensack Meridian Health, one of the largest healthcare systems in the state. It functions as a major tertiary referral center for Central New Jersey, particularly for complex neurological, thoracic, and rehabilitative care.
As a large community medical center, it has an academic affiliation with the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. It hosts numerous residency and fellowship programs, including Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Neurology, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, making it a major teaching institution.
The Central Jersey Medical Center
The Central Jersey Medical Center, formally known as Jewish Renaissance Medical Center, is a community health center located in the heart of Perth Amboy, NJ. CJMC serves an underserved population, which augments the demographics of JFK University Medical Center. The clinic is located approximately 8 miles away from the main hospital.
Residents are assigned a dedicated continuity clinic at Central Jersey Medical Center during each of their three years of residency. This was facilitated by the 6 + 2 block schedule.
