Interested in scheduling an educational program for your community group or business? Many of our programs, screenings and educational materials are available in multiple languages and certified health interpreters are available to assist in communicating to these audiences. Let us work with you to customize a program to meet your specific needs.
Our Healthy Aging programs give adults age 55 and older access to free, preventive health screenings, as well as a variety of in-person and virtual seminars to keep you aging well at any stage.
Samples of Healthy Aging programs include: A Matter of Balance, Stress Management, Understanding Memory Loss/Memory Training, The Importance of Sleep, Optimal Nutrition for Older Adults, Parkinson’s Disease, Cooking Programs and many more.
Women’s Health needs are as varied as we are, the Women’s Wellness Program provides access to preventive health screenings, in-person and virtual seminars, as well as referrals to community resources to address these specific needs in order to improve Women’s Health and safety throughout their lives.
Samples of Women’s Health programs include: Maternal Health, Cancer Prevention, Perimenopause and Menopause, Breast Health, Osteoporosis and Exercise, Thyroid Health, Pelvic Health, Sexual Health, Women’s Heart Health: Joyful Heart Tea and many more.
Men are at a higher risk for many serious health issues making it even more important to make preventive screenings and regular health care more accessible for men of all ages. HMH Men’s Health Program provides access to preventive health screenings as well as in-person and virtual seminars to take charge of your health.
Samples of Men’s Health Programs include: Nutrition for Men, Prostate Health, Parkinson’s Disease, Sexual Health, Cancer Prevention, Keeping Your Heart Healthy, and many more.
Cardiovascular Disease affects 8 out of every 10 people in our community and is a leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women. The HMH Healthy Hearts Program was developed to get you on the right track to a healthy heart. By taking preventive measures, you can lower your risk of developing heart disease and improve your overall health and well-being.
Samples of Heart Healthy Programs include: Hypertension & Cholesterol: Know Your Numbers, Living with Heart Failure, Heart Healthy Eating, The DASH and Mediterranean Diets, and many more.
Injury prevention programs aim to reduce the occurrence and severity of injuries through proactive measures. These programs focus on identifying and addressing potential hazards, promoting safe behaviors, and providing education and resources to prevent injuries before they happen.

You are what you eat. Our team of registered dietitian’s are ready to teach you how to adopt healthy eating habits. Join us at our teaching kitchen or at your location and learn how to make delicious and healthy recipes for you and your family.

HMH offers a variety of programs aimed at identifying and managing diabetes.
Samples of Diabetes Programs include: Prediabetes, Diabetes 101, The ABCs of Diabetes, Complications of Diabetes, Take Control of Your Health: Diabetes (an evidence-based six-week program designed to teach self-management tools and techniques to individuals living with diabetes).
Stroke is the No. 5 cause of death and a leading cause of disability in the United States, but up to 80% of strokes may be prevented, so let’s empower you to make healthy decisions and be Stroke Smart.

Your Health On The Move is brought to you by the generous legacy of Janice Mitchell-Vassar. Look for the HMH Community Wellness Van in a town near you. Stop by for a blood pressure check, meet with a health educator, get connected to health and community resources and more.
Offered exclusively by Hackensack Meridian Health, AngioscreenⓇ is a vascular screening designed to provide participants with information about their circulation and risk for heart attack and stroke.
Your fifteen minute vascular screening includes: Carotid Artery Ultrasound, Peak Systolic Velocity (PSV), Ankle Brachial Index (ABI), Blood Pressure in both arms, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Body Mass Index, Heart Rhythm EKG and Pulse, Color report*, educational materials, plus a consultation with a Registered Nurse.
