Konica Minolta Rallies Employees and Dealer Partners to Raise $300,000 for Tackle Kids Cancer
October 09, 2025
Konica Minolta held two check presentations at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital in Hackensack and K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune, NJ for Tackle Kids Cancer.
Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) has made a $300,000 donation to Tackle Kids Cancer (TKC), a philanthropic initiative to raise money for pediatric cancer research and patient care programs occurring at Hackensack Meridian Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, located at Hackensack University Medical Center, and Hackensack Meridian K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, located at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. The significant contribution will support essential care, groundbreaking cancer research and unique survivorship support services at both of these leading children’s hospitals.
The funds were raised through a multi-faceted initiative spearheaded by Konica Minolta, which included contributions from the company’s top dealer partners at a national event, a dedicated Peer-to- Peer (P2P) employee giving campaign and a corporate gift. This marks the first major gift from Konica Minolta to TKC, with intentions to make it an annual fundraising initiative.
“At Konica Minolta, we believe in the power of community and the importance of corporate social responsibility,” said Sam Errigo, president and CEO of Konica Minolta. “Bringing together our employees, vendor partners, and dealer community for our first-ever charity event was both humbling and inspiring. This collective effort truly demonstrates the heart of our organization, proving that when we unite with purpose, we can create meaningful change that reaches far beyond the walls of our business. I am deeply grateful to everyone who made this event possible and proud that, together with Hackensack Meridian Health, we are helping Tackle Kids Cancer bring hope and healing to children and families who need it most.”
The donation was celebrated with check presentation ceremonies on August 4, at both children’s hospitals, bringing together leadership from Konica Minolta and Hackensack Meridian Health, along with clinicians and other team members. The celebration at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital also featured an appearance by TKC team captain and two-time Super Bowl champion, Eli Manning. The gift will be shared between the Children’s Cancer Institute at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital and the pediatric oncology program at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, which are collectively ranked as the best children’s hospital in New Jersey for pediatric cancer by U.S. News & World Report.
“This extraordinary $300,000 gift from Konica Minolta is a testament to what can be achieved when a community-focused company dedicates its resources to a cause,” said Joyce Hendricks, president and chief development officer of Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation. “Philanthropy is the fuel for innovation in pediatric cancer care. This generous support will directly impact our ability to expand groundbreaking clinical trials and provide essential support programs for our MVPs - Most Valiant Patients. We are immensely grateful to Sam and the entire Konica Minolta team for their partnership.”
Tackle Kids Cancer began in 2015 as a grassroots effort to help children and families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Because only a small percentage of the National Cancer Institute’s research budget is allocated to pediatric cancer, philanthropic gifts are crucial for advancing research and providing comprehensive care that addresses the unique needs of young patients and their families.
